Studio EMRYS summer camp
Week-Long Ceramics Camps
Studio EMRYS summer camps are small, focused, & built around a week-long project. Each camp runs Monday through Friday, with students working through a full handbuilding project from start to finish: building, refining, and decorating. Finished work is available for pickup a few weeks after camp ends.
Camps are kept to four students per session with a 1:2 teacher ratio, so every kid gets real attention in a calm, focused environment.
A great fit for students who want a smaller summer experience, especially kids who do better in calm, focused settings.
All materials are included, & every student goes home with a collection of finished, ceramic pieces glazed with colorful underglaze & dipped in clear.
Optional Glaze & Surface Studio days will also be available between camp sessions for students who want more focused time on glazing (details coming soon).

Drinkware
June 15-19, 2026 9 AM · 12 PM
A week of summer mornings making clay drinkware kids will actually use. Students build mugs, cups, & tumblers using foundational handbuilding techniques (pinch, coil, & slab) & decorate their pieces with colorful underglaze. Each day builds on the last, with a focus on getting comfortable shaping cylinders, attaching handles, & finishing pieces with care. -

Creatures & Characters
July 20-24, 2026 9 AM ·12 PM
A week of summer mornings inventing & sculpting clay creatures. Students build animals, monsters, fantasy beings, & whatever else they imagine, using pinch, coil, slab, & sculptural construction. Each student develops a small collection of characters & decorates them with colorful underglaze.

Planters & Vases

A week building functional vessels for plants & flowers. This camp focuses on planters & vases across a range of sizes & shapes, with slab construction as the featured technique for building strong, structured walls. Students decorate finished pieces with colorful underglaze & develop their own approach to form & surface design. -

Tableware
July 27-31, 2026 9 AM · 12 PM
A week building tableware teens will actually use. This camp focuses on cups, bowls, plates, & mugs, exploring different forms, edges, & surface designs across the week. Slab construction is featured for plates & wide bowls, with pinch & coil for smaller forms. Pieces are decorated with colorful underglaze.
